Location: Southend
Contract Length: 3 months initially

Job Role
Working in a team environment providing an Oracle DBA (Database administrator) function supporting both Project and Live Service teams.
* Design, configure and support database applications
* Work with Architects to translate high level vision into low level technical detail
* deliver subject matter expertise in one of the estates key technologies
* Provide support to Projects on how their database applications should be set up
* Provide live support to systems during core business hours
* Provide on call support to live systems when required outside core hours
Mandatory Technical Skills
* Strong Knowledge of Unix and Oracle
* Excellent knowledge of an IT infrastructure and the IT lifecycle
* Ms applications
* Oracle Grid Control
* RAC, RMAN
