Project Manager (Higher Education) - Contract - 12 months (initially) - London. My client, a leading London University is looking for an experienced Project Manager for an initial 12 month contract. The University has been using its current Student Records System (SRS) Unit 4 QL for a period of approximately 12 years. Unit 4 are in the process of introducing a new SRS - Unit 4 Student Management (Unit 4 SM). With the advent of a new SRS product, the support of the existing SRS will diminish and ultimately be phased out. My client requires a project manager to manage the project to replace the SRS, ideally completing by September 2019.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Project Manager is to:

a)Proactively manage the SRS replacement project from inception to completion

b)provide an efficient and effective project management service for the SRS project, within the available resources;

c)prepare project briefs, tender documents (including OJEU European tenders) system specifications, and manage any project staff (including contractors) as necessary;

d)prepare budget costings whilst exercising effective budgetary control over the allocations made during each financial year;

e)prepare internal and external progress reports to agreed standards.

f)ensure that the SRS project is managed to internal and external regulations (e.g. ISO 27001) undertake appropriate risk and issue management, and keep all relevant records;

g)carry out all procurement in a manner which complies with the Universities Financial Regulations and ensure maximum value-for-money;
