I am seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Manager for a 6 month contract based in Yorkshire to start ASAP. The role is working in professional services for a global business and you will be required to ensure that the IT function is as fully prepared as possible to cope with any disaster scenario it may encounter, minimising impact on the business.

Key Duties

Be the owner of IT Disaster Recovery throughout the business globally.

Ensure the plans outlined for IT Disaster Recovery are up to date, relevant to the business, and standards implemented.

Conduct and document impact analysis of the firm's IT systems and off the back of identifying risks and single points of failure, provide guidance on how to mitigate those to IT service owners.

Work with IT teams across the business to ensure all are understanding of the IT Disaster Recovery process and their responsibilities within it, providing regular updates to IT leadership team.

Once a plan is agreed upon, perform tests and document them.

Maintain a risk log (transferring into the info sec risk register) and communicate that to the information security manager.

Experience Required

You must have demonstrable previous experience of IT Disaster Recovery Planning and implementation across a business.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage expectations. Comprehend high level technical designs, but with the ability to communicate in simpler terms to business users.

Good understanding of IT methodologies, frameworks, best practice within a global company.

Experience working with 3rd parties.

Previous knowledge of ISO 22301 is desirable.
