Capital Impairment Business Analyst

The Role

The Business Analyst will be based with a leading financial services company in either Halifax or Leeds on an initial contract length of 6 months. Although the initial contract is for 6 months, the contract has a very high potential to go long past the initial contract on offer. The initial day rate on offer is between £400-450/day. This individual will primarily be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of changes to the Mortgage Capital & Impairment Modelling application.

Key responsibilities:

* Accountable for delivery of all phases of the development life cycle - Requirements Specification, System and Database Design Specification, Program Code, Test Plans and Implementation Scripts.

* Demonstrate and develop a sound practical knowledge of the core technologies - .Net, Oracle, SAS, and Business Objects.

* Guide the development and support of changes to the Capital & Impairment Modelling application by applying technical IT expertise and business knowledge.

Essential skill set / experience:

* Strong background within financial services (5+years)

* Capital Impairment Model Development/ Assessment experience is essential for this position

* Business Analysis experience - full development project lifecycle and methodologies

* Working knowledge of Oracle PL/ SQL, VB.net, ODP.net, TOAD, MSMQ, Visual Studio 08

* Good understanding of data warehouse design
