Role: Interaction designer [UI]

Location: West Byfleet

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

We need an experienced interaction designer who works with minimal support and can influence and mentor others. You will work with service managers, product managers, project managers, end users, service owner, delivery lead and scrum team to develop design concepts and may have responsibility across complex services. You will make key decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts others.

Essential requirements:

* Experience working on GOV.UK and with GDS

* Experience working in the public sector

* Worked in a user-centred product or service development project

* Worked in an AGILE (SCRUM) delivery team

* Great collaborator and also able to work well independently

* Able to manage competing priorities in a tight timeline and very self-organised

Technical Skills

* Sketch

* Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

* Invision

* Pencil, paper and whiteboard

* Front-end interface design - visual and structural

* User Experience Research and Discovery - stakeholder interviews, client workshops etc.

* Information Architecture - structures and taxonomies

* Interaction design - user journeys/tasks, UI patterns

* Prototyping - Wireframes, clickable prototypes

* Collaboration tools

* Invision

* Jira/Confluence

* Gather Content
