Contract Role, Embedded Software Engineer, 6 months, Device Drivers, RTOS, £300/£330 per day, Buckinghamshire

My client based in Buckinghamshire are looking to bring on an Embedded Software Engineer on a contractual basis to work on their current devices as well as pave the way on developing the next generation of their bespoke devices. This will involve working within their development team working on ARM Cortex Processors, developing device drivers and working on commercial RTOS.

They are looking for somebody has exceptional experience working on device drivers and working with different RTOS. Any automotive experience would be nice to have as their end client is based in the automotive sector but it is not essential. A good understanding of working on embedded SOC devices and hardware platforms is also essential.

Essential Skills:

Excellent commercial experience with embedded C

Low level driver development experience in an RTOS environment

An understanding of embedded SOC devices

Desirable:

Experience working with ARM Cortex CPUs

Automotive experience, including previous work with MISRA.

The client are looking to bring somebody who can start immediately but they can wait for the right person. The role is set for an initial 6 months but have advised that they can see this being a long term contract which gives you a chance to work on the forefront of cutting edge technology.
