Introduction

Their research is focused on the development of new hybrid semiconductor-superconductor platforms to enable the application of Majorana bound states for topological quantum computing.

Cryogenic measurements are at the core of their qubit activities. They deal with various types of cryogenic test equipment, as well as custom and COTS electronic systems and require extensive electrical characterization of our devices. As an engineer in their lab you will work closely with researchers to improve and maintain measurement setups. Your dedication will make sure that research progresses smoothly, and that experiments can be conducted at the highest level.

Who we are looking for:

The electrical test engineer will be responsible for room temperature and cryogenic electrical characterization of materials and devices. In addition, the test engineer will be expected to help maintain the test equipment, analyse measured data to help improve the devices, and work with researchers to streamline the test process.

Job description

* Full Time role on site

* 40 hr/week

* Loading devices from the Fab team in to different characterization setups.

* Create measurement reports

* Operating cryogenic equipment

* Executing pre-defined electrical measurements

* Summarizing the data for the researchers

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or related field plus 2-3 years relevant work experience or Master's degree plus 1-2 years relevant work experience

* Experience with I-V and C-V characterization of semiconductor devices

* Strong team mentality and enthusiasm to work in a diverse, international group

* Experience with Python scripting

* Experience with vacuum equipment and/or cryogenic test equipment is a plus

* Lab/Clean Room experience is a plus

* English mandatory
