£500-£550 Per day

* Work with network, systems, and applications teams to solve their deployment and automation problems, ensuring the highest levels of reproducibility, reliability, and efficiency.

* Research and develop tools for improving processes and workflows with regards to automation, monitoring, deployment technologies, and performance of root cause analysis investigations.

* Experienced in Github, and the setup of continuous build/continuous integration pipelines

* Experienced working in Agile scrum and kanban teams

* Experienced using Jira and Confluence

* Deploy and manage related solutions in AWS, Azure and GCP.

* Develop/design enterprise APIs and shared technology solutions.

* Design APIs using Swagger/Open API framework

* Develop integration software deployment automation scripts.

* Develop/design web service API and proxy best practices, documentation, educational material and reusable components.

* Support software configuration management initiatives across multiple environments and computing tiers to provide fully automated and self-service systems for building and deploying applications

* Provide second and third-level support for software configuration and distribution

* Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

* Escalates problems as necessary, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution. Actively communicates and escalates statuses and issues

* Identify automation, stress and performance testing needs and design the engineering quality strategy

* Familiar with techniques such as blue/green deployments and chaos engineering, and able to provide guidance on the application of these techniques in the creation of fault tolerant systems.

* Work with product owners to identify a test data generation plan

* Create and maintain regression test suites and other relevant engineering quality artifacts

* Identify gaps and suggest improvements

* Experience with, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins or other DevOps tools

* Experience with scripting languages, like Linux Shell, Python, XML, C/C++ or other languages

* Familiarity with domain driven design would be an advantage

* Familiarity with test driven development and behaviour driven development

* Familiar with tools for TDD/BDD such as Gherkin and Cucumber.

* Experience automating large scalable enterprise level software and network systems

* Create and maintain documentation and FAQs to support rollout of configuration changes

* Provide production support for changes where needed

* Research, evaluate, implement and support various DevOps processes and platforms to support software development life cycle. These include source code management, continuous integration and deployment, asset management across multiple development environments on multiple operating systems

* Research, evaluate, implement and support platforms to support change management, ticketing, testing, and project management

* Automating network integration including testing, building, packaging, and deployment

* Developing and performing unit and integration testing as well as supporting test environments

* Troubleshooting and providing solutions for system configurations

* Improving development and integration process tools

* Open to new ideas and encourages innovative practices amongst peers

* Providing production support on released software

* Good understanding of network routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, and MPLS)

* All other duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge

* Experience using a broad range of scripting tools across a variety of platforms and languages, including, but not limited to:

* Robot

* Bash

* Python

* C/C++

* C# in an ASP.Net Core environment

* YANG data modelling would be an advantage
