Purpose of the Job:

Our client, a leading supplier within Fuel Cell systems technology for the automotive industry, requires a Control Software Engineer to work within their Systems Engineering group. The Control Engineer will act as the main POC for one of their main customers, where off-site calibration support will be required occasionally.

The successful candidate will be able to display superb people skills, taking on an important role within communication and coordination between the various technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Control systems development and calibration for various customers.

- Assist in the development of Fuel Cell Power Systems, products and components through control software changes and bespoke software builds.

- Work with other teams in the Systems Engineering and Testing departments to support on software calibration and resolution of any issues.

- Communicate with end users of the software to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Experience:

- Electronic Engineering degree or similar high-level qualification.

- Minimum 5 years' experience within control software / systems development within a safety critical environement (Automotive/Aerospace).

- Experience with communications protocols such as CAN, LIN and Modbus.

- Knowledge of software development processes and industry standards such as ISO26262.

- Ability to work with calibration tools such as ATI Vision, CANape and INCA.

- Experience of software development using Simulink and Embedded coder.

- Experience of high-level programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
