The Job

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of office operations, reflective of a FTSE 250 company. The candidate must be driven to seek innovative ways to surpass customer expectations, both through excellent customer service and dynamic operational working procedures.

This role will be very varied and you must be happy to work in an office environment that can be extremely busy as well as quieter at times. It will be your responsibility, where possible, to organise and plan these periods to create a smooth running atmosphere.

Key Accountabilities:

As the outward face of the company you are expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and customer service, ensuring you are engaging and professional at all times when representing the company.

You will be directly handling staff and visitor enquiries and we require you to be self-motivated and innovative in your problem solving.

Security of the office will be your responsibility. You are required to carry out screenings on visitors whilst hosting their arrival and ensuring their immediate needs have been met before being passed over to their host.

As the Office Manager you will ensure the smooth booking and running of all on-site meetings and events. This includes appropriate catering to be organised, ensuring the rooms are prepared and presentable liaising with other parties such as IT and AV support if necessary.

As well as your daily administrative tasks you will also carry out maintenance of the hard and soft services of the office ensuring it is maintained to a high specification. This will involve escalating any issues to the relevant external or internal bodies to find a solution and at times supporting the Operations Manager.

You may also be required to assist with recruitment and onboarding duties.

You will possess general knowledge of office health and safety procedures and be flexible to attend extra training on these where necessary

Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience in office management and face to face customer services

Experience of client and customer engagement and networking

Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience of managing high level security requirements would be advantageous
