Technical Hiport Business Analyst - Hiportfolio RG Investment Bank
Technical Hiport Business Analyst who will have knowledge and strong experience of HiPort which must be hand-on. Good working knowledge of RG’s
UNIX proficiency - Unix command line, shell scripting including korn shell (ksh) and expect. Knowledge of Oracle Solaris ZFS Filesystem (zfs, zones, snapshots, clones etc.)
Performance testing and documentation. Problem investigation and resolution. Knowledge and understanding of the complete development lifecycle.. Knowledge and understanding of Fund Accounting (inc. NAV/Unit Pricing production) and Middle Office processes and Operating Model. Proven track record of executing and implementing business change initiatives through the complete project life cycle.
Exposure to front and back office aspects of asset management. MS office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word. Desirables: Knowledge of DROs
Knowledge of UPW and UPW reports. Business Process re-engineering. Experience with AutoSys. Understanding of c-tree database on Unix. HiPortfolio licence management for AcuCobol and c-tree.
Role:
The purpose of this role part of the HiPort team is to provide analysis and technical expertise to support the delivery of change, project and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Liaise with internal and external clients to capture and verify business requirements
Management of Hiport test environments and associated applications and processes
Provide technical expertise to deliver regular application releases and upgrades
Use business and application knowledge (specifically HiPort, but possibly other systems also) to prepare functional requirements specifications, and assist the production of technical specifications
Document requirements using process flows and flow diagrams using visio or similar tool
Working to the dates and quality standards as specified in the project Annual Management Plan / Project Management Plan and, possibly for small changes, updating and tracking of project plans
Liaise with other team members and business members to ensure all issues are resolved in an effective manner.
Ensure that all support documentation is maintained and that new functionality is handed over in an efficient way.
Ensure both Project Manager / Management in general are informed of progress and issues
Liaise with other IT development teams (London and Chennai)
Perform functional and regression and performance testing on solutions provided by vendor or developed in-house
