Principle C & PS Project Management Specialist

6 Month initial Contract

Up to £38 per hour

We are looking for a trustworthy, take-charge individual to join our team in the UK as a site supervisor. The role of site supervisor for the installation of a FIRE System in a major industrial facility has broad responsibilities, from managing piping and electrical subcontractor and overseeing project to maintaining safety protocols and implementing site procedures. Our ideal candidate is experienced, responsible, and team-focused.

Site Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

* Reporting directly to our Project Manager oversee day to day operations of the facility

* Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.

* Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.

* Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme.

* Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis.

* Ensure all work is completed to programme.

* Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Coordinator when required.

* Liaise with Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, monthly billing, variations and confirmation of instructions.

* Carrying out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company's Policy

* Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001.

* Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders.

* Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects on Gateway to enable trace-ability.

* Fulfil the role of Mentor as and when required.

* Provide for site safety and security

* Prepare and file accident reports

* Ensure compliance with company or government regulations

* Keep accurate records of employee attendance and time-sheets

* Supervise and evaluate staff; complete employee reviews

Site Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

* Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce

* Confidence to thrive under pressure

* Professional demeanour and attitude

All successful candidates will need to apply for a Disclosure Scotland Criminal Recorded Check before starting on site and the application reference number provided to the Program Office, the Criminal Record Certificate must be provided to the supplier within 28 days of their start date and forward to the Program Office, failure to do this will see the candidate removed from site.

All successful candidates will have to undergo drug screening before they start, and provide a negative result.
