Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an initial 18 month contract on a rate of c.£250-300/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Requirement gathering - examine business processes and systems and conduct detailed research into business and end-user requirements.

* Ensure the design of business processes and case types meet business needs and supports key reporting requirements - liaison with Business Systems Analyst.

* Document the detailed requirements for business change and provide the design for the 'to be' solution.

* Constructively challenge and act as critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.

* Collaborate with other business analysts to plan and manage ongoing support for end-users and input to User acceptance testing and integration testing plans.

* Plan and prioritise workload - using recognised project planning and management styles (i.e. Prince2, Agile).

* Collaborate with other business analysts to plan and manage ongoing support for end-users and input to UAT and integration testing plans.

* Configure systems and define management reporting routes.

Requirements:

* Experienced Business Analyst - with a track record of research and gathering information to provide detailed business requirement documentation.

* Knowledge of information gathering methods, tools and techniques.

* Experienced in delivering business and system improvements - defining and evaluating options for change and making the selected option for change to happen.

* Proficient in the methods and techniques for effective management of projects from initiation to completion (Agile/Prince2).

* Understanding of risk and risk management and using risk management tools.

* Competent user of MS Office Packages including features on the Developer ribbon.

* Experience of communicating business change to key stakeholders.
