We require a .NET Software Developer based in our Aldershot office, with a Live SC clearance, to support the development and deployment of applications for an initial 6 month contract

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

* Develop solutions using VB.NET;

* Perform and deliver allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by the Senior Development Lead and Software Development Manager;

* Have excellent communication in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clients;

* Document agreed solutions according to project standards;

* Support the deployment of the solution, including preparation and delivery of analysis, demonstrations, workshops, training and documentation.

The requirements

Candidates will ideally be degree qualified (min 2:1) or equivalent, have a minimum A-C pass at A-level Mathematics, and have previous experience in a technical or consulting environment.

The successful candidate will have:

* a degree (min 2:1) or equivalent in Computer Science;

* an A-C grade pass at A-level Mathematics (or equivalent);

* experience of development in VB.NET

Desirable attributes include:

* previous experience in simulation and modelling the physical world;

* experience of developing in C#.NET;

* experience of working within an Agile development environment;

* A strong work ethic and level of professionalism;

* Solid problem solving, analytical and creative thinking ability;

* Ability and willingness to quickly understand and document technical.

Additional information

Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client's offices overseas may also be required.
