Solution Architect - Digital

Market Rate (Initial 6 months)

Edinburgh

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in digital and MUST come from a financial background. In this role you must have the ability to use a range of methods and analytical techniques to elicit and validate detailed requirements with stakeholders, to gain their approval and to distinguish between different types of requirements (e.g. functional, non-functional).

Key responsibilities include:

* Experienced Digital Solution Architect

* Working knowledge of Management Information Systems

* Experience in constructing reports on business unit, client and deal level to senior business stakeholders (mid-management) for strategic decision making

* Presenting ideas to and sharing findings to senior management

* Work collaboratively with various colleagues at different levels both internal and external to the Group

* Demonstrates knowledge of the importance of the Group Change Policy and its principles

* * Is able to break up complex information and present it in a logical way

* Can define effective acceptance tests for solutions

* Has the ability to understand business needs and to translate them into project objectives and business goals

* Understands and can apply and monitor the use of appropriate analysis of processes, methods and tools

* Understands the activities of the Group's functions, divisions and major business units

* Effective cost management and control for all personal and business expenses

* Commercially aware of the industry, sector and competitors

* Understands how personal behaviour impacts on customers, colleagues and the community

* Demonstrates compliance with risk policies, processes and measures

* Awareness, application and mitigation of risk in everyday decisions; understanding the risk/reward trade off

* Completion of mandatory risk training

* Basic understanding of the constraints in which the role operates

* Identifies, engages and builds rapport with key stakeholders

* Creates and maintains a stakeholder map to establish and maintain relationships

* You will be working in an Agile / Scrum environment within the teams.
