Controls Engineer

£30 - £35 per hour

One month contract - With likely extension

Monday - Friday

Are you a Controls Engineer? Do you have experience of writing PLC programs from scratch and editing existing programs? My client are a leading Automation business. They are seeking a Controls Engineer for a minimum of a month (but likely to be extended) to write a PLC program for a new project.

The successful candidate will have experience of PLC programming with Siemens S7-300 (ET200), HMI programming experience with Siemens WinCCflexible 2008 and a good understanding of safety circuits. As well as be able to design and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD.

On offer here is an excellent hourly rate, at a leading Controls business that has plenty of future work for good controls engineers.

The role:

*Designs PLC programs and HMI Screen from scratch or modifying existing programs.

*Setting up and optimisation of servo/inverter drives using Siemens starter tool

*Good understanding of electrical standards for machinery

The person:

*Able to commission new machinery on customer site

*Able to understand automotive customer specifications and be able to apply them to the project.

*Good understanding of electrical standards for machinery design
