Computer People are proud to be exclusively recruiting a Project Manager for a very large greenfield GDPR, Data Protection & Compliance project in Nottingham.

The Role

This is an opportunity to lead & deliver the most important change project in data privacy regulation for 20 years for a growing SME organisation. It has a completion date of May 2018 so this role is highly likely to extend to enable you to deliver the project in full.

Specifically for this role you will need demonstrable experience of personally leading a risk & governance project from inception to handover.

* You will be an experienced professional who is proactive & has a history of getting things done, often with very short delivery deadlines.

* You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end processes using the company's project lifecycle processes and methodologies including; progress tracking, estimating, change management, dependency management, risk and issue management, budget set-up and control, resource management, quality management.

* To do this you will need to lead, motivate and develop allocated team members to ensure that agreed objectives / deliverables are met.

* A key part of this role will be how you manage effective communications across the project teams and stakeholders including Senior Project Manager, Senior Delivery Manager, Business Relationship Manager, Sponsors, governance bodies and other business stakeholders as required.

The Company

This is a growing SME who work to very tight deadlines with no room for error so they require their contractors to be able to manage their own workload & to work autonomously while motivating & mobilising the project team.

Location

This role is based in Central Nottingham meaning that it is easily commutable via tram, bus or car from all over Nottinghamshire, parts of Leicestershire and Derbyshire & easily commutable via train from Birmingham New Street, Leicester, Derby, Grantham, Sheffield, Chesterfield etc.

Unfortunately this client cannot allow home working but they can be flexible on start & finish times.

Availability

This is initially a 6 month contract that is likely to extend to 12 months due to the scope of the project.
