URGENT CONTRACT: Senior Network Engineer, Avaya Switches

My client, a leading UK managed services provider URGENTLY require a Senior Network Engineer assist a large health client improve their Data Networks, which are based on Avaya Data Switches. The Senior Network Engineer will be required to quickly familiarise themselves with the existing Network, with little or no documentation in place and make suitable suggestions and recommendations to improve the Network to help them complete a large implementation. The Senior Network Engineer must have Avaya / Nortel data switch experience and able to influence the in-house team / stakeholders to change their usual ways of practice. This is a crucial element to the role. The Senior Network Engineer will be hands on and will implement changes to the network where necessary.

- Strong experience in the health sector

- Excellent communicator

- Strong Avaya data switch experience

- Strong Checkpoint firewall experience

- network protocols experience

- Strong VPN experience

- Standards definition and implementation experience

- Strong network planning and architecture experience

- Change management knowledge and experience
