My client are looking for a Temporary Works Co-ordinator on a contract basis for a major Power Generation project in the North Yorkshire area with a view to an immediate start.
A competitive rate of pay is on offer here for the right candidate who will be responsible for co-ordinating Civil and Mechanical works on site.
The profile I am looking for is as follows:
Qualifications
Formal TW Coordination training
A Degree or equivalent is preferred although not essential. Candidates with a Mechanical degree will be preferred, due to the volume and complexity of such works involved in the execution of the project
A formal health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH, CCNSG, NEBOSH
Knowledge
Understanding the concept of TW procedures in current UK legislation
Acquainted with the unique technical, legal and safety issues in respect of the planning, design and implementation of Temporary Works:-
Able to demonstrate knowledge of temporary works management relating to Civil and Mechanical works as outlined above
Experience
At least 5 years relevant TW work experience in a construction environment is preferred, together with relevant academic qualifications.
A good understanding of UK Health & Safety and CDM legislation
Good IT and English language skills
