Been with WPA since 2015…

Family have been with WPA since 2015 after being priced out from BUPA. Had major surgery 3 years ago within 5 days of diagnosis against a predicted 30 weeks in the NHS. And oh that hospital experience was something else. Actually comfortable! We went through Covid together, the wonderful Lucy Long as usual advising and looking after us like a mum. Renewing.

First class customer experience with…

Poor customer service

Automatic letters, no human responses to my emails sent asking why they have not paid out the entire entitlement for my claim. Whilst they have now corrected their error (I only found out by checking my bank account!), still no response to my emails no apology which is very poor customer service.

Proper human beings work here!

They employ proper human beings, not script reading, robots masquerading as humans. A large organisation but with a small organisation’s personal service. Would recommend to anyone considering PMI before defaulting to Aviva, BUPA or the like. Easy, hassle free claims process too.

Too much faffin about used to be easier…

Too much faffin about used to be easier hadn’t claimed for ages put in ,finally ,a £69 claim only to be declined so have cancelled direct debit…..bye bye

Fabulous customer service and speedy…

Excellent service as always

I have an appointment on Saturday morning for an injury to my finger and have managed to get the claim processed in 2 days. Wonderful service as always and special shoutout to Michelle Mills for going above and beyond like all staff at WPA do!

BEWARE!

BEWARE! I’ve been with WPA since 2012 and have felt secure in the knowledge that although the premiums were expensive, in my old age I would have good medical cover. In 2023 for the first time, I claimed the equivalent of my premium because of spinal fractures. I had been insured on a pooled risk basis and without advance notice I was switched to premiums based on my claims of the previous year. The premium was increased by 50%. The company claimed that they are entitled to do this because it’s a new contract. I no longer take any private medical insurance due to the lack of transparency about how premiums are calculated and the large number of excluded conditions in the policy. The basis for calculating the cost of premiums should be clear to customers when they enter into a contract and not based on claims history
when a customer has not been warned that their claim will affect their next premium.

Just such brilliant people to deal…

Just such brilliant people to deal with. Having had a particularly bad year for health with an 8 night hospital admission, MRI scans physio, X rays etc they have always stood by me. I was expecting a huge increase in my premiums this year....no!! the increases are not claim related. Currently recovering from a back injury but discovered the cause now. Arthritis...good news is physio should manage the condition and WPA are helping with this.
